Curved infinity edge pool flows with nature

Delicately designed to flow with the surrounding landscape, you could be easily mistaken into thinking this stunning Northland pool was naturally occurring.

Every so often you get the opportunity to build a pool in a truly unique landscape, for a client that wants a really special swimming pool. This pool in Mangonui is it.

The size and flow of the swimming pool means that at one end you have a kid’s beach area where even the smallest family members can safely enjoy themselves.

Coping stones are partially laid in the water to give it a defined look compared to traditional coping which normally sits above the water’s edge.

The curved deck and custom coping stones follow the contour of the pool. Rocks are embedded into the side of the pool creating a natural aesthetic – as if the pool and it’s surrounds had naturally sprung out of the ground.
