Infinity pool overflows into landscape at award-winning Auckland home

Building a new house and swimming pool can lead to some really great synergies, as is the case with this Matakana infinity pool.

This stunning home was built by Peter Dyer Builders and was the NZ House of the Year Supreme Winner for the Auckland Region for 2019 and the custom made infinity swimming pool was designed and built by Mayfair Pools Auckland North.

The pool is a negative edge pool or infinity pool to allow the overflow to continue to the sea in the distance and the deck area at that end has been stepped down so there is no obstruction to that view.

It’s a stunning pool setting that really integrates into the indoor-outdoor living and wider landscape,” says Richard Rowley, Mayfair Pools North Auckland

The striking pool colour is Coral Sea and has granite coping stones from Stone Direct and Fuji mosaics waterline tiles supplied by SSL.

The pool utilises an ozone filtration system and a heat exchanger for heating.  The pool lights up at night with multi-coloured LED lights.

Whatever the setting, Mayfair infinity pools are spectacular.
