A zero entrance pool is the latest in functional pool design – allowing for easy and safe access for swimmers and paddlers of all ages and abilities. This North Auckland family is delighted with the final result.

 

Imagine wading slowly into your pool like you do at the beach? These clients were all about a point of difference that makes it easier for people of all ages to enjoy the pool. To achieve this “zero entrance” beach effect safely, non-slip tiles were used which beautifully complement the surrounding pool colour.

A pool and custom spa combination build, the designers used the same pool colour and waterline tiles to achieve a cohesive look. The pool also includes a hidden pool cover and cantilevered concrete as the coping stone.

I was born in Canada, and grew up around Vancouver and the mountains of British Columbia. My love of pristine environments led me to New Zealand and eventually to the mountains, lakes and rivers of the central North Island which is home.
