A long-time dream for these Taupō residents was to create a beautiful and unique hub for outdoor play and entertaining – a unique space they could be proud of where friends and neighbourhood kids were always welcome. And that’s just what was delivered, a dream sanctuary for all.

 

Owning a pool was a long-time dream of these Taupō residents. With a young family, they wished to create a hub for outdoor play and entertaining – where friends and neighbourhood kids were always welcome. It was also important to them to create something unique and of a really high standard, not just a rectangle pool in the ground. Something that created the sense of having a resort at home, with different areas in the pool for all to enjoy.

Lots of tricky angles in their outdoor area meant the design of the pool had to be just so in order to complement the lines of the house. The client's eczema was also something to consider when it came to choosing a pool water filtration system.

The final result is a pool that flows elegantly off the master bedroom and connects the lounge with the new deck. The pool build incorporates a deep end for bombs and diving, and swim up steps for baby to play in the shallows. A Naked Freshwater system was recommended as the best choice for the client's eczema – and they love it. The system is also working for them environmentally, as it is set up for their freshwater outfall to flow out across their orchard as irrigation.
